How Selling Homes Start With Curb Appeal In 2022
It always starts with curb appeal.
By keeping up with your home’s curb appeal which is to maintain a neat and tidy home when it is listed, sellers will always leave the right impression on the buyers.
Here are some great tips to get buyers stick around and choose your listing:
Picking up garden equipment, giving the hedges a fresh trim, and powerwashing all walkways will always make the right impression on buyers. In addition, keeping your pool sparkling clean and free of debris such as pool equipment, toys, and leaves makes a tremendous difference.
Keeping your lawn in top shape by doing the necessary sprucing makes a better impression than a dry and poorly maintained lawn.
Fix any rusted or replace rotted fences, dirty swings, and refresh gardens or play areas.
Add in some bright annuals to places that need brightening, or add in some color to your entryway with lights or potted plants.
Be sure to make the garage and front door appealing and welcoming. If faded, add a fresh coat of paint. Also, be sure the garage door is not dirty or dented.
Plant or spread fresh pine or bark around the base of your trees and flower beds for a fresh and inviting look.
Wash the outside of your home, and paint the house if it is needed. Or, if the color is dated, a more newer and modern coat of paint can really make the house look entirely updated.
Consider replacing or restoring your mailbox and your home’s street numbers.
Lastly, wash and polish your windows to make them sparkle, and repair any caulking or paint that has chipped or worn down.
The little things count a lot, and for small amounts of money on repairs, buyers may decide to stick around instead of driving past your home just because they do not agree with its appearance. By understanding and utilizing curb appeal, sellers will always have an edge over the competition.
